I was commissioned by Hardie Grant Books to illustrate the 2013 Foodie Guides and design the covers. The brief was to illustrate quirky food-shop fronts for each chapter opener, that represented different food types.

I created each illustration with watercolour and ink with some post production editing in Photoshop.

I was very honoured to be asked by the publishers, Hardie Grant Books, to illustrate the chapter openers and covers for the Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney guides. I also created the cover designs for each issue.

Based on the book 'Bite size', 'Sweetie!' features recipes from the Hardie Grant test kitchen. Each recipe has been illustrated in water colour in a photo realistic style.

Written by Janet A Holmes, Snap! is a story about a little boy who hides behind a crocodile mask and learns to face his fears.

I was commissioned by the publishers Little Hare to illustrate the story of Snap. Using water colour and ink I brought the pages to life in 3-dimension by creating collage scenes and paper dolls to tell the story.

Featuring hand painted illustrative elements that reference the quirky street stalls as well as French influenced architecture.
